The Foster-Miller TALON is a small remotely operated tracked robot used for multiple purposes, ranging from reconnaissance to combat. It was originally an American concept, but it was bought out by Qinetiq global technology defense company based in the UK. The TALON has the ability to climb through sand, water, snow, as well as climb up stairs. It runs off of lithium-ion batteries, with which it can last roughly eight hours. The TALON is able to be remotely operated up to one-thousand meters away. It also included multiple cameras on board, with the ability to transmit live feed back to the control station.
