Wakamaru was developed by the development staff at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Wakamaru is around 1 meter tall and weighs 30 kilograms, it has two arms and a flat circular base. Wakamaru has speech recognition as well as the ability to speak in both a male and female voice. It can also connect to the internet through one of its Linux operation systems. You can buy a Wakamaru for roughly $14,000. It was originally designed to serve as a companion for elderly and disabled people.
